Adding to the Interlochen State Park series, we’ve got a shorter than normal but climby in a few places 48 mile ride in store for you. As with our other routes originating in Interlochen State Park, this one isn’t short on the wonderful scenery and quiet back country roads.

At under 50 miles, this is a good “second day” ride for a cycling road trip. Multi-day road trips can be a little taxing. The second day always being the roughest. Your legs are tired from the first day and you’re likely feeling a little beat. Nothing better than a shorter day to spin the legs out. Well, this is the route for you.Halfway through the ride, at mile 24, you’ll come into the Town of Cedar. Make a right and on your right side is a grocery store friendly to cyclists. Head in to use the restroom (ask) and buy something quick to much on and fill your bottles up. If you’re going to use the facilities, please buy something for their hospitality, please.
