Michigan happens to be one of the better states as vaccination goes. Perhaps the shutdown did serve one decent purpose when the final accounting is done; most of us flocked for the vaccine so we could go back to normal and get this state opened again. We’re well into herd immunity when you rightly include the vaccinated and the naturally immune who have had the virus in the past (I’m both) and even with the much-dreaded hyper-transmissible Delta variant, we’re down to only a handful of cases per day and the rare passing of someone who’s caught the virus – and the trend continues its decline even after everything has been opened.
The point is, unless you’re one of the ultra-vigilant who won’t be coming up from underground until 2023, Tuesday night is back to normal and cruising once again. Come out and join us for the fastest club ride in Michigan. All speeds are welcome with groups as follows:
A – Elite: 32 miles – 23 to 25-mph (Everyone gets dropped except the last rider standing)
A: 29 miles – 21 to 23-mph (Drop with a regroup)
B: 24 to 29 miles – 17 to 19-mph (Drop with a regroup)
C: 21 to 24 miles – 15 to 17-mph (No-drop)
D: 14 to 24 miles – 12 to 14-mph (No-drop)
Meet at the Lennon Wesleyan Church on Lennon Road just west of town. Wheels roll at 6pm sharp with warm-ups starting at 5:10.
